A man recently told of an experience he had when about 12 years old. He had disobeyed his mother and had been severely disciplined by her. In his anger he walked a short distance from their rural home and sat down on a log until he could calm himself. He could see his house, and was able to see his mother doing the chores. He also noticed that she kept wiping her eyes with her apron.
