A man known for his extraordinary generosity, millionaire Percy Ross, once sat atop the trunk of his car as it f5I-owed the Aquatennial parade in Minneapolis and flung silver dollars to screaming youngsters along the route. "God, I loved it, I just loved it," he sighed after throwing away $16,500 one summer evening. One Christmas he hosted 1,000 disadvantaged children and gave each of them a new bicycle. His generosity prompted Minnesotans to name him "Swede of the year" so he could ride in their annual parade.
