Living in the prime of...

Living in the prime of life has nothing to do with our age, but has everything to do with our level of commitment to the Lord. Take Noah for example, he was very old, but it can be argued that at the time he built the ark he was living in the prime of life because he knew and served the Lord.
Elizabeth's pastor would accompany her to visit her husband in a nursing home. Jacob had Alzheimer's disease and was staying in a secured area of the facility. The pastor would take him communion. Though there were days when Jacob didn't even know Elizabeth, there wasn't a day that he didn't understand what communion was. He would point and say, "Love God!" Although this man had Alzheimer's disease, it could be argued that he, too, was living in the prime of life because he knew and served the Lord.
How we serve the Lord is not as important as remaining faithful to the Lord. Noah knew this throughout his many days.
