A little child tumbles and hurts himself. Sobs and tears come quickly. An affectionate parent picks up the youngster and says soothingly, "There, there, I'll make it all better." Then the almost invisible wound or scratch is attended to and the sobbing ceases. But there's one final action. A salty tear is still running down the child's plump cheek. When the tear is wiped away with a hug and a kiss, the little one runs happily off. It's been made "all better."
