The laundry was endless! How was it possible for a family of five to accumulate so many dirty clothes? Looking at the heaps of soiled socks, shirts, jeans, towels, sheets, she began to imagine another world, one in which laundry was washed only once and was thereafter clean -- forever! That was so obviously ridiculous, she found herself laughing at her mind's sense of humor. But the fantasy had ticked something else, a memory ... someone ... She caught herself in mid-thought. She had just run smack into God, right there at the washing machine.
