The simple instructions Elisha gave to Naaman were not sensational enough to impress him at first. It enraged him to think that after supplying evidences of his wealth and influence, he was told to wash in the creek. He could have done that at home and in better rivers than in Israel! Naaman had relied on his riches and references and the King of Israel's power to relieve him of his leprosy. But there are some things only God's power, which comes in unexpected ways, can heal.
