Kipling's classic story, Letting...

Kipling's classic story, Letting the Jungle In, tells of a group of people who went into the jungle. They cleared a place, brought in their stock, planted their crops and built their homes. For a while it was a veritable paradise, until the rain came and the jungle crept back.
Wild animals killed their stock. The prolific vegetation of the jungle moved faster than they could cope with it. The jungle took back their paradise.
