The judge in Washington...

The judge in Washington, D.C., noticed the change in the 15-year-old before him. The youth had been a "hard case" -- a car thief, street hustler, and smart-mouth, and now he was back in school, doing his homework, and meeting his curfew. The transformation was the result of efforts by Tyrone Parker, 49, founding president of Alliance of Concerned Men, who is an expert at turning life around. He himself had been a convicted bank robber, had served over eight years in prison, and is under criminal justice supervision until 2013.
