John and Sarah had been married for over 25 years. They'd always had a good, strong marriage and neither of them ever considered stepping out on the other. Two years ago, they had a significant change in their work schedules and became like two ships passing in the night. John continued to work days and Sarah worked afternoons, so John was home alone every evening. That's when the trouble started. John began to resent Sarah's work schedule and began to feel sorry for himself. He started going out in the evening ... to bars, to coffee shops ... just to have some human contact.
John met Lisa innocently, but it soon grew into something else. John was faced with the reality that another woman was interested in him and that he could easily conceal the affair. Finally, John looked in the mirror and said to himself, "You're a married man. You made a covenant to God and to Sarah ... quit this foolishness now!" And he did. He told Sarah about the temptation and renewed his vow and covenant ... and she changed her work schedule!
