Jim and Sally were brother...

Jim and Sally were brother and sister. They had three older sisters and there were eight
years between Sally and her next oldest sibling. Sally was just a year and a half older than
Jim. Because of the closeness in age, Jim and Sally did a lot of things together. After
college, they even shared an apartment for a while. They enjoyed each other's company
and looked out for one another.
Something happened, however, which shattered their relationship. A simple disagreement about rent and chores around the apartment escalated and the result was a broken relationship in which neither Jim nor Sally were willing to make amends.
Finally, at the urging of one of their siblings, Jim took the first step toward making peace. An apology was offered and conversation began. The whole family was better because the rift was ended.
