J. B. Phillips, the New Testament scholar and translator wrote a book called New Testament Christianity. In it Phillips imagined a conversation between a senior and junior angel, who are talking about our planet. They view a dark planet that was once lighted by the presence of Christ, who is the Light. The Light leaves the earth and returns to heaven. But then there are little lights lighting up all over the world.
