It is a principle of acting that you do not go out on stage and try to conjure up within yourself the emotional state of the character you are portraying. In other words, a good actor or actress does not try to "do" sad, or angry, or happy, or any other emotion. Rather, one concentrates on doing the action and speaking in the scene. If the action is done well, and the lines delivered well, then one can be relatively assured that the proper emotion will show through and the audience will receive the scene as it is meant to be experienced. So it is with love.
