This is an interesting parable because it is an example of what you would expect any normal landowner to do. Perhaps Jesus told it to "set up" the miracle of God's love, because this is exactly the opposite of what God did. When God's son was killed, God didn't destroy the people who did it. Instead, God raised Jesus from the dead and gave him back to us.
