If you were born Protestant you may never have heard of “apostolic succession.” This is accepted in the Anglican Communion. It means the succession of “valid” ordinations since the original apostles. These apostles ordained people, then these ordained people, down through history. So everyone ordained in this denomination feels they have been “sort of” ordained by the original apostles.
