As I write this, some secret plans to blow up airplanes are making headlines. In contrast,
God's plan includes secrets that bring good news, hope, and joy.
As a child, I walked a mile and a half to school. What a joy it was to have someone pick us up after school. On one occasion, a favorite uncle visited and picked up my older sister and me after school. A further joy was his telling us that there was a secret surprise for us at home so we began guessing what it might be. "Is it as big as a bread box?" my sister asked. "Oh, yes, much bigger" our uncle replied.
