I remember watching the movie classic, Gone With the Wind. The movie -- and, of course, the book before it -- contrasts the natures of two women. Melanie Wilkes walks in love. Scarlett O'Hara often does the opposite. Both women are beautiful; both wear the long, flowing gowns of the deep South during the Civil War era. But Scarlett thinks only of Scarlett, while Melanie is always thinking of others.
