I recently listened to an unusual number performed by the Cleveland Orchestra at their outdoor summer concert site. The piece was "Prismatic Variations" composed by Donald Erb. In addition to the orchestra members, there were also more than 200 children and youth involved in this production. While the musicians from the orchestra were providing music on their lovely instruments, the young people were also providing contrasting sounds on the following items: harmonicas, telephone bells, soda bottles and wine glasses.
