I heard Norman Vincent Peale tell about a man who came to him for counseling. Dr. Peale said that he asked the man a series of questions which created within (i.e. Peale) the perception of a multi-talented, successful man who had lost his self-
confidence. The man was a tall man -- well over six feet -- but he walked stooped over, obviously weighed down by innumerable business burdens. Dr. Peale said, "Look at yourself. You're a tall man walking stooped over. If you want to regain your former effervescence stand as tall spiritually as you are physically. Furthermore, think tall, live tall." Then came the pastor's most important advice: "Worship God regularly ... with your family." He concluded that it marked a new beginning for the man. -- Gunkel (Reprinted from October 1990 Emphasis.)
