I have known two ministers who have had severe physical and emotional disorders. The first man once suffered from nervous collapse, had painful arthritis, a nervous skin rash for several years, migraine headaches, and twelve or more surgeries. It was only after more than thirty years of pain-ridden ministry that the man finally had to call full-time church work to a halt. However, he still remains faithful even while disabled (oh yes, he also had open-heart surgery).
