I have great admiration for the Christian stewardship ministries that advocate debt-free living. I find the theme they espouse being talked about more and more by younger couples who may be catching on to the message. I wish them all the best. As a pastor, I find myself observing lifestyles of young couples. My dad was from the old school where you worked at the same job until you retired at about age 65. He instilled that in me. But, I find that mindset is not always the way it is today. Many are planning to work twenty to thirty years at the most, hoping to become financially independent.
