In his wisdom, God planned for billions and billions of tiny sea plants and animals to die, to sink to the bottom of the ancient oceans, to be subjected to incredible pressures buried beneath thousands of feet of sand and silt resulting in oil saturated rock that we now harvest as petroleum.

Petroleum has been a great blessing, but with only a fifty-year supply, we must turn to renewable energy sources. God is calling us to use our wisdom now, not to misuse his gift of petroleum but to use less and less so that future generations will have a dependable source of energy.
