Harvest
Invitation is extended to participate,
to join the feast already spread.
With hands outstretched, Jesus said,
"This is my body. Take and eat," not,
"Go in the kitchen and make the bread."
And when he took the wine, Jesus said,
"This is my blood, my life poured out for you.
Eat my bread; drink my wine;
share my feast. And when you do,
remember me. Remember too,
who it is you are, who you have become, my friends."
The gift is there before us,
on the table spread.
The Kingdom yields its harvest
