Guarantees come in all forms and fashions. My favorite, of course, is a lifetime guarantee. A friend of mine saw that the pen and pencil set in my pocket was well worn. I had gotten great mileage out of it. The silver was faded to dark brown; the cap was rusted. So he proposed to say that company would send me a new set if I just returned my worn one to them. I did that very thing, for the first time in my life. I had more than gotten my money's worth out of that set.
