The gospel passage tells that God helps us to be born anew, giving us a new direction in our lives. He helps us to turn from sin to a life as his servant. I read an article about a change of direction. The article told of some of the best long distance runners in the world, the runners of Kenya, Africa. These people had been great runners for many centuries little known to the rest of the world until Kip Keter ran in the Olympic Games in the '50s. Later in the '60s came the great runner Kip Keino. Along with these champion runners there were many others who were also world-class runners.
