God looked around. The hosts...

God looked around. The hosts in heaven were in angelic array; the servants were far away. The prophets were busy preaching and teaching in all corners. God considered the people on earth. They needed something -- someone could help them. Someone who who reflected God's glory. God's Son! In God's "perfect image"!
How shall I send my son? A king robed in velvet? No, a king's scepter is not always righteous and the throne is not always eternal. A diplomat? No, that would be too far removed from everyday people. An adult perhaps? Well, that wasn't very special.
God found the answer. A baby! Everyone loves a baby! Yes, a baby, to experience tender loving care, to understand human nature, and to live among people.
So a baby was born to a faithful mother and father. God anointed the baby with the oil of gladness and gave him the right to all of God's kingdom. God smiled and said, "Let all my angels worship him!"
