General George S. Patton, played by George C. Scott in the movie Patton, called for his chaplain at a critical time in the European campaign during World War II. He was on a mission to free American soldiers who had been trapped by the Germans at the Battle of the Bulge, and he wanted the chaplain to write a prayer for good weather, so that the army could have air cover and proceed with the attack.
