At the funeral service of the English poet Robert Browning, one of those attending was Browning's great friend, the painter, Edmund Burnes-Jones. Afterwards, Burnes-Jones said that the service was far too somber to express the glory that was in the life of Browning and the glory of the God who said, "Behold I make all things new."
Burnes-Jones said, "I would have wished for a banner or two, and much would I have given if a chorister had come out from the triforium and rent the air with a trumpet."
