The football game was down to the final minutes. The home team had the ball at center field and was driving steadily down toward the end zone. Then came the fateful play. The quarterback dropped back to pass ... his protection was good ... he spotted his prime receiver and fired a bullet. But the receiver cut to the inside of the field and the quarterback expected him to run an out-pattern. The ball landed in the arms of a startled defensive back -- game over.
