Fishnets come in basically four models: seines, dragnets, cast-nets, and dip-nets. Seines are primarily shallow water implements stretched across relatively small areas of water, then dragged slowly by the corner and supported in between by such "waders" as necessary. Dragnets, much larger, are usually stretched between two fishing boats which proceed at the same speed, harvesting in much deeper waters. Cast-nets are either thrown into the water by someone who has waded away from the shore or from a boat which has proceeded to a promising spot.
