The first and one of the very few credible television theologians was Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. He once made this statement concerning the Sacrament of Holy Communion:
The eucharist demands the resurrection; the body and blood of Christ is the risen Christ medicated through his Holy Spirit. Here I am only using a kind of scenic example, but it may help us in the simplicity of our faith. When the holy sacrifice of the Mass is offered, one can imagine the divine Son in heaven saying to his Father while showing his scars, "See how much I love them. Have mercy on them. Forgive them. I paid their debt."
