A farmer especially interested in livestock wanted to attend the 1940 Fort Worth Fat Stock Show. He was particularly anxious to see the grand champion bull. But when he arrived at the gate and found that it was going to cost his wife and himself and their two oldest children half a dollar each and the other seven children 25 cents a head, he appealed to the assistant manager: "Me an' my wife an' the children have come 200 miles to see that champion bull, but we can't afford to pay $3.75 for tickets." The official said, "Are all those children yours?" "Yes, sir." "Well, all of you come right in as guests of the management, Mister; we want the bull to see you."
