Every person has faith. Also, every person has fears. In life the difference is whether we start with our faith or our fears. Some of us think of all the difficulties when facing an undertaking. Others think of the possibilities.
There was a woman who had a stroke which crippled her left leg. She had great difficulty in learning to walk again, so she was surrendering to a wheelchair. Her doctor was a very wise man who refused to let her stay in the chair. One day he told her to stand up. Then he told her to walk. Slowly she put forward that crippled leg, but she sank back in the chair unable to complete the step.
However, the doctor told her to stand up again. Then he told her to take the first step with her right leg, the one that was not paralyzed. She did that and found that she could walk. The wise doctor then told her to remember that she could walk if she would always put her best foot forward.
This is one of the essentials of faith. Start with your faith, and your paralyzing fears will not be able to hold you back.
