The Electric Kool-Aid Acid...

The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe is a vivid account of the excesses of the 1960s. The main character in this nonfiction work is Ken Kesey, the author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. After receiving fame and recognition for his best-selling book (which in turn became a popular and critically acclaimed movie), Kesey became a cult hero, known for his bacchanalian excesses. He freely dispensed drugs, especially LSD, to his friends. He was having a great time eating, drinking, and making merry.
