Easter is an experience. The resurrection was not and is not a sermon carefully spoken to an audience. In the early church, an apostle was someone who was a missionary through a personal experience of the risen Christ. "The kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power," (1 Corinthians 4:20) stated Paul. The Corinthians intellectualized their faith, and nearly missed the point. And the power. But they certainly talked about it a lot.
The music, the lilies, the banners, the liturgy, etc., should all help the worshipers experience the resurrection.
