In the early part of the century, an elderly rabbi was traveling by horse to a small town outside Boston where he planned to celebrate Passover with some relatives. A fierce storm came up and the rabbi was forced to take refuge in a country house in which a protestant minister lived. The minister welcomed the rabbi warmly and expressed sympathy at the rabbi's concern about missing the first night of the Passover at the home of his relative. Excusing himself, the minister went into the kitchen and was gone for some time.
