In the early days of television, there was a show called "The Millionaire." Each week the millionaire would hand a check for one million dollars to his assistant, Mike, and give him the responsibility to deliver this check to whomever the millionaire had selected.

Some weeks Mike would encounter recipients who either doubted the validity of the check or the fact that they had indeed been chosen to receive it. Other recipients would get so wrapped up in the amount of money and their own feelings of greed, that Mike wasn't sure if they could handle the gift.
