Do you believe in miracles...

Do you believe in miracles? If so, what kind? The kind you read about, hear about, or witness for yourself? Seeing is believing they say, but what if you don't see and yet still believe? Much of what we know, and most of what we risk our lives on everyday is based on belief. Belief that the mechanic who just fixed our car knows what he is doing. Belief that the pharmacist who just filled our prescription didn't make a mistake. We put our lives into the hands of others every day: doctors, lawyers, teachers, parents, and friends. We believe in the miracles of science, of learning, of love, and of trust, and because we know that these miracles are real, we give them authority over our lives. The woman who came to Jesus didn't come because she had faith in Jesus per se, she came to Jesus because she believed in miracles and wanted one for her daughter. She willingly put her life in the hands of Jesus. It was this act of submission to his authority that Jesus called "faith."
