Consider the wealth of blessings...

Consider the wealth of blessings that Paul is pointing out in this passage. So often we take them for granted.
Barbara Cortland makes a historical reference in her book Useless Information to the year when the great painting, Mona Lisa, was stolen from the Louvre in Paris. The statistic she cites is that more people went to stare at the blank space on the wall in the museum during the two years that it was missing than had gone to look at the masterpiece in the twelve previous years when it was there.
Does that not point to our tendency not to appreciate things while we have them? God has lined the walls of our hearts with Mona Lisas, blessings upon blessings.
