A Colorado public school teacher...
Illustration
A Colorado public school teacher was ordered by his superiors to remove his personal Bible from his desk or else face disciplinary action. They forbade him from silently reading the Bible while his students were involved in other activities. And he was told to take away the books on Christianity that he had added to the classroom library, although books on Native American religions, as well as on the occult, were allowed to remain.
Christians today should be able to sympathize with those who lived in Babylonian exile. Just like those exiles, we live in a nation that is at times indifferent and at times hostile to our religious faith.
