At the close of one of his books the Norwegian Arctic explorer, Fridtjof Nansen, made this remark: "What would life be without dreams?" Commenting on this, Donald Baillie of St. Andrews wrote: "All those things we desperately need: the love of God to sinful men, the redemption of our world, the forgiveness of sins, the opportunity of new beginnings, the Kingdom of God, which calls us to its service among our fellows -- all that is not simply any religion or every religion, it is the religion of Christ, the Gospel of Christ.... What would religion be without Christ?
