Christians have been called many things, but rarely artesian wells. But that's just what we are. In an artesian well, an aquifer or layer of very porous rock is saturated with water. This aquifer is sandwiched between two layers of impervious rock, thus trapping the water. In addition, the aquifer is inclined with the source of the water is at the top of the incline. Thus, the water in the aquifer is under pressure. When a well is drilled through the impervious rock into the aquifer, the water will flow to the top under its own pressure.
