Bernard Kouchner is a French doctor who is the founder of
two international organizations: Doctors without Borders, and
Doctors of the World. He is also a marathon runner. He has run
while on medical missions to Biafra, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria,
Chad, Eritrea, El Salvador, Honduras, Cambodia, Vietnam, and many
other places most of us will only see on CNN. He runs to unwind
from the stress of jet lag, medical work, and dodging bullets and
bombs.

Runner's World magazine quotes Kouchner as saying, "People
