Bent Decker, in his book You've Got To Be Believed To Be Heard, presents research that shows that when we interact with another person, 7 percent of our message comes across verbally, 38 percent comes across vocally, and 55 percent comes across visually. What this means is that what we say is very minor to how we say it and how we look while we are saying it. It is another way of saying that our actions speak louder than our words.
