Benjamin Disraeli was one of England's greatest prime ministers during the last century. He was a brilliant man, skilled in debate, educated in the finest schools. When he spoke in Parliament, his listeners followed with rapt attention.

But the debates of Parliament were strange and foreign to his wife. Disraeli had asked a quiet girl with little education to be his wife. And she was a good one. He didn't want to talk of wars and tariffs and foreign trade when the day was done. No, he wanted to return to the refuge of a home and a woman's love.
