Be ready in the morning! One early morning last spring, I rose before dawn to the sound of the birds singing, and the feel of spring in the air. I dressed, then left husband and children sleeping, took my bike and headed to the towpath of the Deleware Canal. The morning lightened slowly and certainly with great puffs of clouds moving down the canal, above the cherry trees in blossom, the red bud, and the ornamental pear.
