Bart never had much interest in matters of faith. If someone asked him he would respond by saying he was a Christian. For years he would watch his wife and children go to church each Sunday. He was always too busy, "making a living," Bart would say, to ever bother with religion.

Years passed, his children had grown, married, and started families of their own. Bart became ill, and was hospitalized. Emma, his wife, asked her pastor if he would visit her husband in the hospital. The pastor went to see Bart and prayed with him.
