Back around the tenth century...

Back around the tenth century was the time when they were building those massive cathedrals in Europe. But as the Christians back then built those houses of worship there was a certain part of the architecture that drew a good bit of laughter from the townspeople. When they built the cathedrals, they intentionally left some small holes in the roof. And so, of course, the townspeople laughed and said: "Why would you do that? What about the rain? What about the snow?" But those Christians had a reason for those holes in the roof.
