Ask any pilot. He or she will tell you that there are times when its difficult to know which
way is up. Isn't the difference between up and down pretty obvious? When you can see
the ground it is, but not when you go through clouds, or fly at night. Even in daytime,
pilots use gyroscopes -- sophisticated plumb bobs -- to inform them. Pilots who depend
on intuition or feeling don't usually grow old. Neither do their passengers.
I know many intelligent, wonderful people who try to make turns in life, but they don't know which way is up. They think they know, yet knowing what is ahead is even more impossible than trying to fly through clouds at night. Most of those who make decisions based on what they think is right-- or on intuition -- seriously flame out.
There is one dependable indicator for life. Few people use it, though.
They are more inclined to use their feelings, advice of friends, the internet, expensive seminars, or deluded ideas from Hollywood.
What's the one dependable gyroscope? It's the Bible. Have you used it to check your position lately? If you haven't, you may be in danger of crashing.
