Arthur Simon is a remarkable human being. While serving a slum parish in the New York metropolitan area, he and members of his congregation came to the conclusion that the only way to do something lasting about remedying poverty was to get at the root: the system, the institutions, the laws. He sparked the organization of an incredibly-effective citizen's movement called "Bread for the World." Unapologetically Christian, BFW lobbies congressmen and senators in Washington on any and every issue related to feeding the hungry of the world.
