An American decided to take a tour of Great Britain by car. One of the more puzzling aspects of driving presented itself in the form of occasional roundabouts. They seemed to the traveler almost more of a barrier than a helpful traffic director.
On encountering the first roundabout the man stopped rather than keeping up with the flow of traffic. An irate Englishwoman behind him shouted, "Man, it's just a traffic sign, not a place of worship!"
